Clifton Lambreth, 20-Year Plus Ford Veteran and Author of the Recently Released New Ford Book

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 19, 2007) -- "Ford and the American Dream - Founded On Right Decisions" - risked it all to write the business novel which he believes will help Ford get back on track. Lambreth literally put his job on the line when he sent Alan Mulally, CEO of Ford, the first copy of the book, hot off the press. Well, no pink slip this time! Mulally embraced the book with praise and immediately requested a meeting with Lambreth to discuss it in detail.

Lambreth said of the meeting, "I firmly believe that Ford can and will return to the vision and principles the company was founded on. When I got a call from headquarters, I braced for what destiny had in store. The call was from Mulally himself. He said he 'loved the book' and that it illustrated the best turn-around recovery plan he had ever read and he invited me for lunch."

"We met for lunch on Wednesday, June 13th at Fairlane Manor in Dearborn, - once the home of Ford’s founder Henry Ford. Just for a second, I could imagine Henry Ford was there with us, smiling. Mulally thanked me for having the 'courage to write the book.' He was keenly receptive to openly discussing issues facing the company," Lambreth recalled.

"What a breath of fresh air to have a CEO who listens to feedback! From maintenance team to CEO - everybody is reading Ford and the American Dream - Founded On Right Decisions. I look forward to working with Mulally in the future in the efforts to return Ford to greatness," concluded Lambreth.

Lee Iacocca, former Chrysler CEO, and former Ford President, also praised the new Ford book stating: "I truly enjoyed the read and appreciated the inclusion of my quote in the book. I still stand by those words today."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 2007) PRNewswire -- With the potential threat of bankruptcy facing the Ford Motor Company, Clifton Lambreth, 20-year Ford veteran, wrote a book that brings to light decisions that have brought the company and the automobile industry to where it is today. Lambreth's FORD and the American Dream -- Founded on Right Decisions, offers an insightful perspective of what has transpired during his tenure. The book's co-authors are Mary Calia, Melissa Webb and Patrick Doyle.

"The challenges facing the Ford Motor Company and the automobile industry today have been layering for years -- lack of consistent leadership, bad deals and alliances, diversity programs gone wild, a misguided compensation system, and an outdated contract with the UAW. There are many land mines to avoid so that other companies don't find themselves in the same challenging predicament the Ford Motor Company is in," said Lambreth.

The book's release is well-timed following the 60th anniversary of the death of company founder, Henry Ford, who passed away in the spring of 1947.

"We began to wonder what it would be like if Henry Ford were alive today," continued Lambreth. "What would he think about the current state of the company and what advice would he give to Ford and other companies around the globe? Our book is an example of the transparency urgently needed in business today."

Charles "T" Jones, author of 'Life Is Tremendous' stated, "One of the most intriguing stories I've ever read. You experience the spirit and timeless wisdom of Henry Ford as he deals with the current issues of the day while he assists with returning Ford Motor Company to its greatness!"

"Ford is as American as apple pie and baseball! This story sends a very positive message to the Ford Motor Company today," said Paul J. Meyer, author of the book's Foreword.

"Some of the threats facing Ford today have the potential to destroy the livelihoods of tens of thousands of employees, partners and dealers around the globe," remarked Lambreth. "This book provides a blueprint for dealing with difficult and sensitive issues to help return Ford to the greatness and financial success it once enjoyed."
